Last night Melissa and I went to the drive-in in Warwick, NY. It was a warm, humid day that afforded us the sometimes rare opportunity to drive to Warwick with the windows completely down. The traffic was virtually non-existent on our northbound trip through Andover, Newton and Hardyston. We only saw 1 or 2 deer in the distant fields along the roads we traversed.

We arrived at the drive-in around 7:30 pm and found our favorite parking spot with no trouble. We'd brought subs with us and, since we were both very hungry, consumed them almost immediately after getting the car parked. Just before 9pm we visited the snack bar and bought our huge tub of popcorn, a couple of sodas, and a box of Milk Duds.

The movie was predictably a stunt-driven affair without a significantly engaging plot or characters you gave a damn about. Still, it was a wonderful trip through the country and the drive-in experience is a special joy that Melissa and I love to share. It was a great night out.
